Assistant Vice Provost for Student Life, Student Engagement Operations
Dr. Tony Tambascia serves as the Assistant Vice Provost for Student Life, Student Engagement Operations with a portfolio that includes Assessment and Evaluation, Business Enterprise Systems, Health Science Campus Student Services, Recreational Sports, Student Publications, and Trojan Event Services. Dr. Tambascia has held various positions at USC, including Director of Academic Recognition Programs and Executive Director of the Office of International Services. In 2021, he served as the Interim Associate Vice Provost for Student Engagement.
Dr. Tambascia has an extensive record of partnerships and collaboration across the university leading student affairs departments, building support systems and engagement opportunities for students, and managing change and growth to benefit the student community and develop the future structure, mission, and strategic plan of USC Student Affairs. He also held volunteer positions in NAFSA: Association of International Educators and has presented at national, regional and international higher education conferences and events.
Before joining USC, Dr. Tambascia worked at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County, and Rollins College. Dr. Tambascia earned a B.S. in Organizational Communication with honors from Ohio University, a M.A. in Education from Bowling Green State University, and a Ph.D. in International/Intercultural Education at the University of Southern California.
