Senior Associate Vice Provost for Student Life
Dr. Naddia Palacios serves as the Senior Associate Vice Provost for Student Life oversees numerous Student Life areas core to the student experience, including community expectations, student development and residential life, equity and inclusion, and engagement operations.
Most recently Dr. Palacios was the Assistant Vice Provost for Student Life, Student Equity and Inclusion. In this role, she was the campus-wide liaison for diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives impacting the student experience and led student development programs focused on intersectionality, sense of belonging, and well-being among all students. Dr. Palacios expanded the programming offered in the university’s resource centers, and led the university’s efforts to renovate and expand student cultural centers and lounges, tripling their square footage. Since joining USC in 2018, Dr. Palacios also served as the Senior Director of Student Equity and Inclusion Programs and Adjunct Assistant Professor at Rossier School of Education.
For more than sixteen years Dr. Palacios has been an innovative university leader. Before coming to USC, she held positions focused on enhancing the student experience at Occidental College, the Claremont University Consortium, and the University of California, Riverside. Dr. Palacios earned a B.A in Latin American Studies from San Diego State University, an M.Ed. in Postsecondary Administration and Student Affairs from the University of Southern California, and an Ed.D. at the University of California, Los Angeles.
