Assistant Vice Provost for Student Life

T’Ante serves as a trusted liaison and strategic planning consultant to the senior leadership team in Student Life. His responsibilities encompass developing, managing, and optimizing business systems, budgets, and administrative processes for both short- and long-term goals.

With over 20 years of experience in public administration and higher education, T’Ante has a strong background in financial operations and student services. Most recently, he was the Bursar at San Diego State University (SDSU), where he led a dynamic team for a decade, overseeing tuition fee collection and financial aid disbursement.

As a visionary leader, he collaborated with campus partners to drive strategic student success initiatives, including:

  • Contributing to the establishment of the Cal Coast Student Financial Center, a one-stop service hub for financial aid, scholarships, and student financial inquiries.
  • Chairing and serving on committees dedicated to student financial services and Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) at SDSU and within the California State University (CSU) System.
  • Implementing SDSU’s first AI-powered chatbot to enhance student support.

Before SDSU, T’Ante spent eight years in college athletics as the Director of Ticket Operations at Sacramento State. He began his career as a Ticket Manager for the Sacramento Sports Commission, where he played a key role in hosting prominent events like the Olympic Trials and NCAA Track & Field Championships.

T’Ante holds a degree in Business Marketing from Sacramento State and is currently pursuing a Master of Public Administration at the Sol Price School of Public Policy, USC.
